GLOBAL MISSION
The Gathering Place has a special place for Jamaica Missions. With the Pastors backgrounds being from the Caribbean (including Jamaica), the roots run deep! TGP has been sending teams for over a decade to join with churches there and serve together.
Many projects have been completed over the years, including building churches and fellowship areas. Children have been part of the Vacation Bible School Program and then grow up to become the leaders of other children. The goal is to help establish and build programs that then can be continued once the team heads back home.
Santa Cruz
The Gathering Place has connected with one of our Church of God sister churches, Mountain Park and joined their missions trip to El Progresso, Yoro, Honduras the last couple years. While there, our TGP Senior Pastors were led to once again build a partnership with another church, this time in Honduras. Tabernaculo de Dios in Santa Cruz is one of the church plants from the original Tabernaculo de Dios in El Progress.
This partnership has flourished and upon the team's visit in 2023, they felt right at home. Santa Cruz Tabernaculo de Dios is similar to The Gathering Place in so many ways. The pastors have so much fervor for serving the Lord and they have a heart for the children of their community.
The Community
The church is in the process of building a second story of their building to allow space for classrooms for the children. Our goal is to raise $15,000 over the next year to support then in this project.
